It will be made available in 1.5-inch and 1.7-inch screen sizes along with 272×340 and 319×390 resolutions, respectively. The most advance feature of the device is that it is designed to run on a version of iOS. It supports touch navigation as well as UI control through the handset’s ‘Digital Crown’. Other specifications include S1 processor under the hood, Bluetooth 4.0 support, Wi-Fi connectivity and 8GB internal storage.
Like most smartwatches, you will need a compatible iPhone to be able to use the Apple Watch. The firm has said that supported handsets include the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5. Sadly, iPhone 4S will not be supported by the Apple Watch. Apple has finally spilled the beans on UK pricing, as of now. The 38mm Apple Watch Sport will be available from £299, whereas the larger 42mm model starts from £339.
The Apple Watch will be available from £479 with prices going up to £949 depending on what casing and band combination you opt for. The limited edition Apple Watch comes crafted from custom rose of yellow 18-karat gold, will be available for price range of about £8,000 to £13,500 for the most expensive version. The Apple Watch will be available to pre-order online and in-store from 10 April, before it goes on sale on 24 April. Apple is expecting sale of about five to six million units ahead after releasing release, on the other hand analysts are expecting around 20 million to ship in 2015 alone.
