Daman & Diu is an area on the Arabian Sea coast. It is a union territory of India and is located near Goa and is a part of Portuguese India. Dadra & Nagar Haveli is also a union territory in western India. It is situated between Maharashtra and Gujarat.

So government seekers get ready the union territories have come up with job opportunities in Police Department. An official notification has been announced on the official website that online application forms are available for the posts in Police Department.

Daman & Diu Police Constable  Exam Syllabus

There are vacant posts of Police Constable in both the union territories and interested candidates can apply online for this post. There is different number of vacancies in these territories.

In Daman & Diu there are total 19 clear vacancies in which 8 is for general category, 10 for OBC and 1 for ST. In anticipated there are 25 seats in which 14 is for general, 8 for OBC, 1for SC and 2 for ST. Whereas in Dadra & Nagar Haveli there are 57 clear vacancies in which 24 is for general, 6 for OBC, 1 for SC and 26 for ST.

In anticipated there are total 10 seats in which 8 is for general and 2 seats for ST.

Daman & Diu Police Constable  Exam Syllabus

As per the government rules 33% vacancies are reserved for the women of their respective territories. SC/ST and OBC will be eligible for their respective Union Territories only but they must have their certificates issued by the government of India.

All citizens of India can apply for this exam but the Domicile of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli will be given more preference.

The exam will be a written examination and last date to apply for this exam is 15th June 2015 by 5 pm. All the interested candidates can apply online on the official websites i.e. www.ddpolice.gov.in . Only online applications will be accepted.

The eligibility criteria is same for both the territories, which is as follow

  1. The candidate should be 12th pass from a recognized board and must have done a computer course of minimum three months of duration.
  2. Height of the candidates must be 168 cms for males and 152 cms for females, chest for males must be 81-85 cms.

  1. Candidates must clear the physical round which will include 800 meter run, long jump and high jump.
  2. The age of the candidates should be between 18-27 years.
  3. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates who are son/daughter of the Police Personnel died during service.
  4. Home Guards will also be given age relaxation who will be having minimum 3 years of service.
